Masters Duathlon Results

Memorial Day broke cold, and overcast, but that did not deter the hardy souls that braved the early wake up call to test their speed and endurance in the running and swimming extravaganza known as the Masters Duathlon.  This is the one chance each year for our "fleetfooted" runners to use their talents to attempt to stay ahead of the "fishlike" athletes for as long as possible.  The courses were set up to be about 50% running and 50% swimming (time-based).

Congratulations to those who completed the event.

Off to Hawaii with the Tri Team

I will be in Hawaii for the next 7 days guiding about 30 of our triathletes through the Hawaii Ironman 70.3(Half Ironman) event this coming Saturday May 31.

The team members going have been preparing diligently since the beginning of January and looking to test their high level fitness in the tropical paradise.(actually the race is in the hot black lava fields, but I haven't talked about that too much)

Wish us the best and welcome your substitute coaches, Rick Peterson, Matt Gilman and Susie Mogensen.

Susie is our new "Swim Pro," but more on that upon my return.
