World's Swim Meet at Stanford

Dear Menlo Master:

It has been a very eventful 6 months for our team.  Transition out of Herkner Pool after almost 3 years. Beautiful new team home at Burgess Pool. Numerous city political functions where we needed team support.  Coming together as a team and organizing our very successful first swim meet. Losing Dick Bennett.

Now there is one more thing on our plate.  World's.

Tomorrow is the last day that you can sign up for the FINA World Masters Championships. This competition is being held at Stanford in early August. It should be a fun and inspiring meet to attend and compete in. As one of the largest teams in the country, we would like to have good representation at the meet. We may never have this opportunity to do this international meet so close to home.

You are receiving this email because you can help to acheive the goal of great team representation at this meet.  Please register.

We hosted the long course meters meet at Sacred Heart to provide an opportunity to make the qualifying times. Short course meters and yard times can be converted to long course meter times and be used for entry times. To participate in relays you must sign up for the meet.

If you have signed up or will be signing up please email Judy Strauss (email on the roster page) so that she can register the relays. This also has to be done by the deadline. We do not need to put specific names on the relay, but we need to know who will be there so that we can enter the correct number of relays for our team.

It should be a lot of fun particularly if we have a good turn out.

Sign up today!

Sincerely,
Tim Sheeper
