Yoga and Swimming

Due to the recently increased volume of swimming by the typical person on Menlo Masters, it is imperative that we all start looking into practices that will allow us to continue enjoying this form of exercise for decades to come.  As we age, body maintenance becomes a more important component of ones exercise routine.  Muscles that may have been limber at one time may now have to be coaxed into lengthening and flowing in your exercise routine.   As we all search for the right balance of exercise that allows us to live our lives to the fullest, take every opportunity to learn more and experience different concepts that will enhance health.  Check out this article.

Thank You Notes from the Coaches

These thank you notes are from the coaches for the generous gifts that were given to us at the Swimmer of the Year celebration.

Menlo Masters,

This is a very belated thank you from last year's team gift.  Due to the generosity of all the members, I was able to take my family with me on my Ultraman athletic adventure this past year.  Because of the team my kids were treated to an experience that will remain with them for a lifetime.  This was beyond compare and I am truly indebted to the team.

Tim

Dear Friends and Teammates:

Thank you so much for the gift that you gave me at the Swimmer of the Year Party. I am always humbled by your generosity. Many of you were not at the party, so I want to take this opportunity to express my thanks to the entire team.

I am also grateful to Tim for giving me the opportunity work with the team in the first place and to coach as many workouts as I do each year. It has enabled me, over the years, to become acquainted with most of the members of our team and to have many rich and satisfying experiences watching and working with you all.  It is particularly gratifying to see beginners come to the team and through their hard work and determination turn themselves into proficient swimmers with a real love of the sport. I am proud to be able to play a small role in some of these transformations.

My job with Menlo Masters only part of my total work life, but it provides me with the major part of my job satisfaction. I am proud to be part of this team and look forward to another full year of exercise and competitions.

Thank you again.

Rick Peterson

Dear Menlo Masters,

Thank you for your lovely note and generous gift. I love coaching the Sunday workouts and its fun because of the people that participate. I hope that you enjoy the workouts as much as I do. I'm looking forward to seeing more of you out there. Thanks again.

Sincerely,
Judy
