Please help - looking for 5 male mentors

I would like to thank those of you who have committed to being a mentor for our Building Futures Now program.  Menlo Masters swimmers have been incredibly supportive and gracious with time, energy and talents.

Because of the generous outpouring of energy it is challenging for me to continue to ask for more assistance.  Butâ?¦we need 5 more mentors for the 2009-2010 school year.  Male mentors are preferable, but we will never turn anyone away who is willing to contribute.

We are looking for 5 people who are interested in spending some time with a 4th grade boy to make what may be a life-long difference.  Studies have proven that the impact mentors make on these young lives is enormous.

Mentoring is a year long commitment to a student for 3-6 hours per month scheduled when it best suits the mentor and the mentee. Take them for a bike ride, an ice cream or bring them to the library.  The possibilities are limitless.

Please email me Tim Sheeper or email BFN Director Alison Lopez if you have more questions or concerns or would like to sign up to be a mentor.

Here is the list of the current mentors (started last year):

Charles Dimmler
Artemis Daphnis
Nancy Prouty
Michele Santihano
