Results of Pacific Masters SCY Champs

Menlo Masters performed brilliantly at the Short Course Yards Championships. This year's Pac Masters SCY Champs was the largest local meet ever held on the west coast with over 975 swimmers and nearly 60 teams.  Menlo Masters placed 8th overall - right in the middle of the pack of teams with similar numbers of participants.  There were some stunning achievements put forth by our team members which are summarized below.  Overall, our teammates seemed to have met their swimming goals for the meet, and had a great time getting to know each other, supporting each others' swims and watching some inspiring performances by many Pacific Masters swimmers, in all events and across all age groups (from 18 to 93!).

A quick thank you and congratulations to our new-to-Menlo and/or new-to-Masters-meet participants, and to a few friends we haven't seen at meets for a few years:  Steve Foster, Jean Gillon, Scott Jones, Karen Levy, Karen Lines, Sarah Lundell, Emily Pope and Mike Pyle were our new folks; and our returning teammates are Tom Anderson, Lucey Bowen and Rebecca Pinto.  All swam well, and it was great to have them there!
