Richard "Dick" Bennett - 1930-2006

This past Saturday March 25, 2006, long time Menlo Masters swimmer, and Coach Dick Bennett passed away.

I will miss Dick's presence on the pool deck at the early morning workouts. I will miss his unbridled enthusiasm for teaching people to swim a better backstroke, his favorite stroke.  I will miss his personal celebrations on deck when someone in the water did something he instructed them to do.  I will miss his noble manner and his no nonsense approach to life.

He contributed a great deal to our team and cultivated many friendships and acquaintances.

I will relay the time and place of a memorial service when information becomes available.
